Gugulipid
This is an Indian herb in the Ayurvedic tradition. It's main use is for the cardiovascular system. It's been proven to significantly lower blood cholesterol levels. It promotes the increased removal of LDL (bad) cholesterol which damages the arteries. I had known about its benefits for the heart before I found a study online that was done in India using gugulipid to treat cystic acne compared to the antibiotic tetracycline. Here is a link to the gugulipid for acne study. You can also find the study at www.pureremedies.com and look in the Skin Archives section. The link is toward the bottom. A link to the study is also found at http://acneinfo.cjb.net. Gugulipid decreased acne lesions by 68% in patients compared to a 65.2% reduction in patients given tetracycline. And patients with oily faces responded much better to gugulipid.

When I tried gugulipid, I was also taking pantothenic acid and 4% niacinamide cream. Since those two were already working, there was no way to really judge how effective the herb would have been for me by itself. I just wanted to use as many proven acne fighters at once, to really combat the disease.

Gugulipid is not an herb commonly found in health food stores. If you can't find it, www.swansonvitamins.com has it. I haven't seen many people post messages about using this herb and I think more people should try it. Since it worked for 2/3 of people with severe acne and slightly outpreformed a leading antibiotic given for severe acne, I think it's definitely worth checking out.

How To Save Your Own Life During A Heart Attack

What you do in the early moments of a heart attack can mean the difference between life and death. If you're having a heart attack and there's no one around to perform CPR on you, do the following:

Immediately take a deep breath and cough twice, as hard as you can. Wait a couple of seconds, take another deep breath, and again cough twice. This will contract your diaphragm, compressing the heart and causing it to pump. It's a simle form of self-CPR.
Keep repeating the process until your heart begins to beat normally (or until help arrives). Once your heart is stabilized, chew and swallow one asprin. Then take 2 cayenne pepper capsules or a tablespoon of Tabasco sauce. The asprin will thin your blood and prevent platelets from sticking...while the Tobasco or cayenne will dilate your blood vessels so that blood can flow freely.
This simple technique can dramatically increase your chances of survival. Please share it with your friends and loved ones. It can save their lives!
